National Museum of Magna Grecia
The National Museum of Magna Grecia, where the famous Bronzi di Riace are preserved, as well as finds from prehistory to the Roman period, with unique exemplars.
The Aragonese Castle
The Aragonese Castle, symbol of the ancient city. The castle has been a prison, barracks and a refuge at the time of the Turkish invasions, as far back as 1540. Today hosts cultural events and exhibitions.
The Falcomata Promenade
The Falcomata Promenade, with a view of the Strait of Messina, Sicily and Etna. The promenade is adorned with Art Nouveau buildings, and tropical trees.
Piazza Duomo
Piazza Duomo on Corso Garibaldi, a place dominated by the Cathedral Basilica and famous for its shops.
The Cathedral of Reggio Calabria
The Cathedral of Reggio Calabria, a giant building, the largest sacred building in the region. A Church in neo-Romanesque style where valuable works, such as the wooden crucifix and the silver bronze baptistery are kept. Also worth seeing is the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, the most important baroque monument in the whole Archdiocese of Reggio.
Scilla, Pentedattilo and Bova Marina
Near Reggio Calabria, 22 km away, there is Scilla, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with its houses resting directly on the water. Not to be missed is also the ghost village of Pentedattilo (34 km) and Bova Marina (44 km), among the most beautiful villages in Italy, the latter called the capital of the Greeks of Calabria.
